Passes & Fares

Metro tickets and passes are valid on Metro Buses and Metro Rail. Reduced fares (half-price) are offered for children ages 5-11, seniors 65+, individuals with disabilities or Medicare recipients with proper ID. Standard fares are listed below.

 

WHERE TO BUY PASSES

You can buy passes online, with the Token Transit App, pay upon boarding, pay at a ticket vending machine, or at select retail outlets. Learn more about where to buy Metro Passes.

With the Token Transit App you can pay your NFTA Metro bus or rail fare quickly and easily with your smartphone using the Token Transit app. You can also purchase tickets using your credit or debit card. Tickets can be purchased for immediate use or stored for future trips.

Available tickets include: Single ride (bus/rail), Round trip rail, Day pass, 7 Day pass, 30 Day Pass, Paratransit Single Ride, or Enhanced Express bus. Learn how to use the Token Transit App

METRO PERK

Employers can offer their employees a pre-tax benefit for transit use.

Employers using Metro Perk reduce payroll taxes, and employees reduce their taxable income, saving approximately 30% on the cost of a Metro Pass. This program can be combined with additional subsidies provided by employers for their employees in order to lower the cost of taking transit to work even more.
